School Bells a Ringin'
Hey Lovelies!
It's that time of year again when kids and adults alike go back to get their education! Early mornings, rushing to get everything and everyone out the door before their first class starts. Well... I too am apart of that group. Thankfully I can avoid all the drama of a brick and mortar school because my classes are online, however, there are drawbacks to online schools as well.
Pros & Cons of Online Schooling
PROS
- Can sleep in
- Can do school work any time of day or night
- Goes along with your schedule
- Don't get nagging phone calls wondering, "where the hell you are" and, "why the hell are you not in class?"
- There's no morning rush
- Can be in class in your pjs or even naked if you prefer
- No bullies or dumb people
- You can focus on your work
- No physical distractions
CONS
- Online distractions
- Because there are no reminders, you can get off the task of logging into school for months at a time then have to deal with the nagging guilt until you do
- Can sometimes be difficult to find a place to set up and do your school work [no room in the house, public library is closed, no internet, etc]
- You have to be the one to go onto the school forums to make friends or to meet people, this can be tough for some people
- Online distractions... I put this twice, because this is a REAL thing! You want to get school work done, but oh wait! Here's another cat video that you haven't seen yet... and another... and another...
-FOUR HOURS LATER-
"OH SNAP! I totally forgot to get my school work done! :O"
Over all, there are pros and cons for everything little thing in our lives, but in the end, it's us that need to be mature, and step up when it comes to important things such as school and making sure we get up and go to it. Whether you are going three miles to school or just across your room. We need to be the ones to get this type of important stuff done. No one will be holding our hands forever, and we can do this, we just have to get up and do it! PROCRASTINATE PROCRASTINATION! [I learned that from someone in my college prep course!] Don't sit around and wait for things to finish themselves, because hun, you'll be waiting forever!
Hope everyone's new school year has started off great, and hope it continues all throughout the school year! Don't be too hard on yourselves, but remember that school is important, so suck it up buttercup and get your shit together!
